Matthew Knowles Still Beyonce's Manager Regardless of Strained Relationship

Rumors have been circulating that R&B superstar Beyonce recently fired her “dadager” Matthew Knowles. Matthew has been managing Beyonce’s career since the very beginning, but after her ex-Destiny’s Child bandmates fired him as their representative before embarking on solo careers, it was presumed that Beyonce had done the same.

Not that she wouldn’t have reason to -- it was recently revealed that Matthew had an adulterous affair with another woman and fathered her child. Paternity tests confirmed that the baby was indeed his, and the mother, Alexsandra Wright, is entitled to child support.

The rumor mill first started buzzing when the story of her father’s adultery broke, and Beyonce was refusing to speak to him. Her record label, Columbia Records, was concerned about the deteriorating relationship and supposedly wanted Matthew out of the picture.

No doubt the bad press surrounding him and the 18-month affair, as well as his divorce from his wife of some 29 years, was causing some real strain on his relationship with not only his daughter, but her label as well.

However, reps for Matthew claim that he is still, in fact, Beyonce’s “...sole and exclusive manager,” and will continue as such indefinitely.
