Matthew McConaughey reprises classic 'Dazed and Confused' character for music video

It's been quite a while since fans of the nostalgic stoner flick Dazed and Confused have heard from David Wooderson. But now the character, made famous by Matthew McConaughey in the 1993 movie, is back in action. Fans of the movie, who have voiced their desires for a sequel ever since its release, can let out a collective "alright, alright, alright."

Almost 20 years later, McConaughey will reprise his role as Wooderson to star in the music video for "Synthesizers" off the new Butch Walker and the Black Widows album The Spade. Wearing the classing Wooderson getup of a Bob Marley t-shirt and pink pants, it seems as if McConaughey had no trouble slipping back into the role. According to Billboard.com, Walker is a huge fan of the movie and the star himself.

"When it comes to classic characters, Matthew McConaughey's Wooderson took the cake…and the high school girls with him," Walker said.

McConaughey is also a huge fan of the singer, and the collaboration between the two was the perfect combination of nostalgia and comedy for the music video. Entertainment Weekly reported that for those who are more fans of the movie than Walker's music, there is a little something extra for the Dazed and Confused mega fans.

"If you love Dazed and you loved Wooderson, you'll see this and you'll probably get the tickle box pretty quick."
