McCartney and Yoko drop feud for "Love"

A warm embrace between Sir Paul McCartney and Yoko Ono this weekend suggests their public feud may be over.

It's been decades since the onset of the feud between Sir Paul McCartney and Yoko Ono, but audiences were surprised nonetheless when the two embraced genially at the first night of a Beatles themed stage show named "Love in Las Vegas." After Sir Paul, still wearing his wedding ring from his former marriage to Heather Mills, embraced Yoko and kissed her on the cheek, he praised his late band mates, saying, "This is for John and George."The quarrel between Sir Paul and John Lennon's widow became public after the two fought openly over the Beatle's legacy, and it has been widely rumored that Ono was the cause of the Beatles' split.Perhaps the spirit of reunion was just in the air - late Beatle George Harrison's widow Olivia was in the crowd, along with Ringo Starr and Lennon's first wife, Cynthia. The show, held at the Siegfried & Roy Theatre and featuring Cirque du Soleil, was designed by late Beatle George Harrison.
