McCartney Devotes Songs to First Wife During Coachella Festival

The first night of the Coachella festival, ex-Beatle Paul McCartney sang to an audience of 75,000, in honor of his late wife, Linda.

Sir Paul McCartney decided to devote two songs to his deceased first wife, Linda, on the first night of the Coachella music celebration.

As reported by BBC News, 75,000 attend the event, held in the Californian desert. The former Beatle star performed two-and-a-half hours.

"Linda introduced me to the desert because she used to go to Arizona a lot, so I just fell in love with it, McCartney admitted.

Mrs. McCartney, his wife of 29 years, succumbed to breast cancer, IMDb states. To commemorate her life, he said, "I'm doing it for Linda tonight."

Rock bands, the Killers and the Cure, gave a concert Saturday and Sunday.
