McCready Goes to Jail
According to TMZ, Country singer Mindy McCready was sentenced to one year in Jail for violating her probation. She was involved in a domestic altercation with her mother in Florida, when the Cops responded and arrested her. McCready was convicted on a charge of perscription drug fraud in 2004. As a result of the conviction she received three years of probation, which was up in three months. She now has been convicted on a felony charge and must serve time in jail as well as two more years of probation and an addition 200 hours of community service. The judge was clear that if she doesn't complete her community service then she will be thrown back in jail.
In court McCready addressed the judge donned in an orange jumpsuit.
"Your honor, I can honestly tell you this: This has been the longest two months of my life ... not being able to hold my son ... has been excruciatingly painful." "I could only say I'm sorry," she said. "Please give me a chance to make things as right as they can possibly be."
