McGraw and Chesney Dominate CMAs

The two successful country stars clean up at the 38th annual Country Music Association Awards.

On Tuesday, Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney proved themselves as top-notch country singers by being the big winners of the evening.

Tim McGraw won the honors of Single of the Year and Song of the Year for "Live Like You Were Dying", a song that is considered a tribute to his late father and star pitcher for the New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies, Tug McGraw.

Chesney had his own moment of spotlight when he gave a remarkable performance and gained the awards for Entertainer of the Year and Album of the Year for "When the Sun Goes Down".

"I've been making records for 12 years now, and this is my first CMA award," said the Tennessee-born singer. "I'm very proud of it."

Other winners of the evening included CMA hosts, Brooks & Dunn for Vocal Duo, Rascal Flatts for Vocal Group, Martina McBride for Female Vocalist, Keith Urban for Male Vocalist and the coveted Horizon Award went to Gretchen Wilson.
