Megan Fox is removing a tattoo of film legend Marilyn Monroe from her forearm.
The Jennifer's Body star will grace the September cover of Italian magazine Amica, and opens up about her ongoing tattoo removal.
"I'm removing it,” Fox said. “It is a negative character, as she suffered from personality disorders and was bipolar. I do not want to attract this kind of negative energy in my life."
There has been much speculation of Monroe’s mental health since her death.
Her reason to remove the tattoo was in part the same ideology she used when she first decided to get the ink. In 2009, Fox informed Wonderland magazine, "I could end up like that because I constantly struggle with the idea that I think I'm a borderline personality - or that I have bouts of mild schizophrenia. I definitely think I have some kind of mental problem and I haven't pinpointed what it is."
OnTheRedCarpet.com reported in April the appearance of the tattoo seemed more faded.
Fox does sport several other tattoos, including a Chinese symbol on her neck and a crescent moon on her ankle. She joins the ranks of many celebrities that have removed or covered up tattoos counting Angelina Jolie, Johnny Depp and Britney Spears.
