Mel Gibson Father's Eighth Child

Mel Gibson's girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva, gave birth on Friday to Mel Gibson's eighth child, reported Radar Online.

Gibson became a father for the eighth time with the arrival of his daughter, Lucia, in a Los Angeles hospital.53-year-old Gibson, who is in the middle of shooting for the film "The Beaver" with co-star Jodie Foster, was in Los Angeles until Grigorieva and his daughter left the hospital and then flew to New York to resume filming.

Gibson has seven children with his ex-wife, Robyn, whom he was married to for 30 years and had six sons and a daughter with. In April 2009 Robyn filed for divorce after photographs of Gibson and Grigorieva romancing in Costa Rica went public and later the same month Gibson made public his relationship with Grigorieva. After Gibson found out about the pregnancy, he proposed to Grigorieva. No wedding dates have been announced.During an interview in May with Jay Leno, Gibson said he was thrilled for the new addition to his family.
