Mel Gibson's Wife Has Had It with Mel
On Monday, April 13, Robyn Gibson officially filed for divorce from Mel Gibson. The two have been married for 28 years, nearly three decades in totality.
Soon after news broke of Mel's dumping, news broke that Mel Gibson apparently filed divorce papers of his own.
Was it coincidence, or a desire not to appear to have been the dumped one?
We may never know. . . .
Gibson and Moore have seven children. It is not clear at this time who will retain custody of the youngest child.
The 53-year-old Gibson may be best known for his action comedy, "Lethal Weapon" series and his turn as the blue-faced hero William Wallace of Braveheart.Both Moore and Gibson had cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for separation; that appears to be a celebrity favorite.
Gibson has lately been more famous for his shocking 2006 DUI arrest, during which he was caught on an anti-Semitic rant.
According to the Internet Movie Database, Gibson has only one movie set to come out in 2009, Edge of Darkness, and one for 2010, Sam and George. Gibson's career has not been terribly film-filled, as of late.
