Melanie Griffith Checks Into Rehab

Melanie Griffith has checked herself into a rehab facility for what is said to be a routine stay.

The actress is reportedly staying at Cirque Lodge in Utah, reported the New York Daily News.

"She is there to reinforce her commitment to stay healthy," her rep said. "This is part of a routine plan that was designed between her and her doctors years ago."

Griffith, 52, has gone into rehab before. In 2000 she sought treatment for an addiction to painkillers, which she began using for a neck injury. And in 1988, she checked into a facility in Minnesota to combat alcoholism and cocaine addiction.

"Overcoming addictions is tough but it can be made easier if you have someone that can offer support," Griffith once wrote on her Website. "My husband and family supported me so much through this journey and continue to do so."

Griffith, who is married to Antonio Banderas, is perhaps best known for starring in 1988's "Working Girl."
