Melissa McCarthy was starstruck when meeting Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie as well as Meryl Streep

It’s not unusual for someone to admire the beauty of Angelina Jolie, and Oscar nominee Melissa McCarthy is no exception.

While recently attending the Golden Globes, the Bridesmaids actress ran into Jolie and her Moneyball star partner Brad Pitt.

McCarthy explained to talk show host Ellen DeGeneres while on her show this week that she had to take a second to “regroup” after chatting with the power couple.

“So I’m already in some weird altered state talking to Brad and Angelina. They’re so nice and chatty and really bubbly. Finally, I got a little weird and I was like you have to stop for a minute because it’s a lot visually to take in. I said that to them,” she explained, Just Jared reports.

She went on to say, “They just kind of laughed. I said, no really. It is a lot visually to take in. She’s like weirdly glowing. She’s so beautiful. He’s kind of cute too. And then I was like ok. I’m sorry. I needed to like regroup because they’re kind of a lot.”

McCarthy, although blossoming into a prestigious actor in her own right, then talked about meeting Meryl Streep as well, Socialitelife reports.

Saying Streep was chatting away like a “normal human being,” McCarthy said when first laying eyes on her, “Literally like my brain snapped in two. And then I really didn’t know what to say. I just kept going ‘Oh, my god. You’re Meryl Streep.’”

She laughed about how star struck she was when she said “For some reason I felt I need to bookend it with and repeat. ‘Oh my god. You’re Meryl Streep.’”
