Men in Black 3: Sacha Baron Cohen or Jermaine Clement On Board?
Horror blog Bloody Disgusting is reporting that Columbia might be courting some new stars for the third entry in the Men in Black series, and it seems like they're going for another silly/serious dynamic for their new duo.
Apparently Columbia Pictures, who are still holding the rights to the franchise, are courting either Sacha Baron Cohen or Jermaine Clement of Flight of the Concords for the role of "Yaz," who may be a new agent recruit and the silly half of the duo, much like Will Smith was in the first two films.
Josh Brolin has been rumored for a little while now to be taking over for the serious half, which was filled by Tommy Lee Jones in the first two.
These new casting rumors mean that the third entry will feature a new pair of agents, meaning Smith and Jones will not be starring in the new entry - though cameos probably wouldn't be out of the question. Of course, none of this is at all close to being confirmed, but the idea of a new duo in the franchise is pretty exciting!
Etan Cohen - who wrote the hit Tropic Thunder, the forgotten Igor, and the cult hit Idiocracy - wrote the screenplay for Men in Black 3.
