Even the classiest of ladies have legitimate reasons to curse. Just ask Meryl Streep.

Access Hollywood reported the awards ceremony veteran accidentally let one slip right before accepting her award at Sunday’s 69th Annual Golden Globes.

"Oh, sh-t My glasses!" the Best Actress in a Motion Picture (Drama) winner proclaimed.

According to Us Weekly, Streep regretted her bleeped out moment.

"I can't believe I said 'sh-t’ on TV," she told reporters afterwards. "I had such a good speech and I couldn't see it. Even if you held it in the front row, I couldn't read it because I left my glasses at the table."

The Iron Lady actress couldn’t do anything but try to recover her speech from her memory, but fortunately her pals Harvey Weinstein and George Clooney began passing her glasses through the audience towards her.

The 26-time Golden Globe Award nominee, yes she holds the record, beat out the likes of We Need to Talk About Kevin’s Tilda Swinton, The Help’s Viola Davis, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo’s Rooney Mara, and Albert Nobbs’s Glenn Close for the award, her eighth.

And while there’s no reason Streep won’t be in great demand, the actress said she’s still “really gratepful to keep working.”

"I think about each individual story, and if the story's interesting, it doesn't matter if it’s a waitress or a queen," she said about the wide range of characters she’s played.

"I'm not discriminating that way. I'm happy to play interesting people who have challenges in one way or another."

And we’re happy you play those people too.
