Metallica Gets Special Edition Of "Guitar Hero"
A Metallica version of Guitar Hero will be released in 2009, which will be based entirely on the songs of the highest-selling rock band ever.
The news comes via Gamespot, the popular video game store, who also says that the version of the popular video game will be released early in 2009 across multiple gaming platforms.
It was also announced months ago that Aerosmith would also receive their own special edition of the game as well, but it has yet to be released.
Guitar Hero III was released in November 2007 to much acclaim, mostly because of the inventive way it interacts with the gamer, providing them with a similar experience to playing an actual guitar.
One of the biggest criticisms of the game, however (especially since the release of Rock Band), is that there are only two guitars that can be played at a time. But now, having, in essence, copied Rock Band, Guitar Hero IV will include a drum set and microphone. Fans should be pleased to play Metallica songs on the guitar, drums or sing along if they so choose.
