Miami Priest Spotted Cuddling with Gal on Beach

Father Alberto Cutie, the Archdiocese of Miami, better known as "Padre Oprah" for his advice about relationships in the bestselling book, Real Life, Real Love, was caught cuddling on a North Florida beach, reported ABCnews.com.

On Tuesday, a Mexican magazine published photographs of Cutie, 40, and gal pal canoodling on the beach and kissing at a bar. According to ABCnews.com, he told Univision he loves the woman and has had feelings for her since they first met.

After the photos ran, he removed himself from his duties as a priest at St. Frances de Sales church in Miami Beach.

The photos wreaked havoc, triggering discussions of celibacy and temptation. According to the New York Times, radio and television shows, aired in English and Spanish, deliberated the case.

While Cutie removed himself far away from his church, many supporters have remained loyal by creating online petitions and calling into Spanish radio shows, contending that he should be forgiven.
