Michael C. Hall Reveals Cancer Diagnosis
On Wednesday, the star of the Showtime series Dexter, Michael C. Hall, revealed that he has been battling cancer. Hall counts himself lucky, however, because he is almost finished treatment and the disease is in remission.
Hodgkin’s lymphoma, the specific cancer that Hall was diagnosed with, attacks the immune system. It is considered treatable and curable, and it is likely that patients are able to make a full recovery. Hall will continue working on his show and receiving treatment.
Hall still plans to attend Sunday’s Golden Globe Awards with his wife, Jennifer Carpenter, who also appears on the show. Hall is nominated for a Golden Globe in the Best Dramatic Actor category, and the series is nominated for Best Drama.
He says that he also plans on attending the SAG Awards the following Saturday and for which he and his cast have been nominated.
