Michael Jackson Benefit Concert Being Planned in Las Vegas

Tribute to the King of Pop set to take place on Jackson's birthday.

According to Access Hollywood, a tribute to Michael Jackson is set for the late singer's 51st birthday in Las Vegas.

A Michael Jackson benefit concert is allegedly in the works. The event is set to take place at the Palms Hotel and Casino, inside the Pearl venue, a representative for the hotel confirmed to Access Hollywood.

The tribute show will feature "cast members in current shows on the Strip to the big guys, along with some bands," "Jersey Boys" star Erich Bergen informed the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Bergen, the show's co-producer, told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that further details of the show will be announced as the event approaches.

Jackson passed away on June 25, at the age of 50. The late King of Pop would have turned 51 on Aug. 29.

Access Hollywood also reported that Jermaine Jackson is rumored to be meeting with executives at the Wynn Las Vegas hotel to talk about a potential show featuring the members of the Jackson 5.
