Michael Jackson Has Passed Away
The legendary entertainer Michael Jackson has passed away after suffering cardiac arrest.
Jackson was rushed to UCLA Medical Center after collapsing in his home in west Los Angeles, Brian Oxman, a Jackson family attorney, told CNN.
Paramedics responded to a call to the Jackson home at 12:26 p.m. Fire Capt. Steve Ruda said he was not breathing when they arrived at the home. Paramedics performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation and then transported the star to the hospital, Ruda told the Los Angeles Times.
The pop star was pronounced deceased by doctors this afternoon after arriving at a hospital in a deep coma, city and law enforcement sources told the Los Angeles Times.
The tragedy comes as the King of Pop was attempting a comeback after years of controversy and media scrutiny.
Multiple news reports have confirmed Jackson's death; however CNN has yet to confirm the legends passing.
Michael Jackson was 50 years old.
