Michael Jackson Spokesman Denies Lung Replacement Rumors
Dr. Tohme, Michael Jackson's official spokesperson, denied the reports that have been circulating about the music superstar's alleged diseased lung. In the statement he made on Monday, Tohme stated that what the public has been hearing as of late about Jackson's health is "a total fabrication." He goes further to say that Jackson is in great health and currently in the process of finalizing a world tour.
The statements that leaked to the media earlier this week explained that Jackson has a disease that attacks lung tissue known as Alpha-1 anti-trypsin deficiency. The reports went further to say that he would possibly be needing a lung transplant in the near future; surely a surgery that would jeopardize his career.
Jermiane Jackson, Michael's brother has also been quoted by the Sun as having said that the singer is "not doing so well right now."
These controversial statements came from the writer, Ian Halperin, who is currently working on an unauthorized biography of Michael Jackson's life. His writings also claim that Jackson can barely speak, suffers from internal bleeding, and is almost completely blind in one eye.
Tohme explains that these comments are merely Halperin's attempt to promote his upcoming book.
