Michael Jackson Tribute

On September 26th 2009 in Vienna there will be a tribute concert to the late Michael Jackson who passed away on June 25th 2009. Jermaine Jackson stated to the Associated Press that "Vienna was chosen as the venue because his brother loved castles."

Currently the expected number of performers is hitting 25 and may still be growing. As of now some performers include Mary J.Blige, Natalie Cole and Chris Brown. Plans of major "Bollywood" names and German-based and Middle East artists will also be in attendance. Some artists such as Diana Ross, Madonna and Stevie Wonder have not been confirmed but are in contact with organizers.

The tribute concert will contain Michael Jackson's original band and dancers. Jermaine Jackson will perform a duet with video of his late brother projected onto the walls. The finale will consist of all performers singing "We are the World" or "Heal the World"

A considerable amount of the proceeds will be donated to a charity. Tickets for the Michael Jackson Tribute in Vienna went on sale last month.
