Michael Jackson's Death Officially Labeled a Homicide

The Los Angeles County Coroner has ruled Michael Jackson's death a homicide.

Michael Jackson's death was a homicide due to acute propofol intoxication, the Los Angeles County Coroner said on Friday.

According to FOX News, Jackson's personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, admitted to giving Jackson propofol hours before his death. Murray may be charged with manslaughter. A possible additional target is Arnold Klein, Jackson's dermatologist, who is believed to have facilitated the pop star's drug abuse by receiving prescriptions and then giving them to Jackson.

Washington Post reports that although Jackson died by someone else's actions, it is uncertain whether criminal activity was involved. The report made in the investigation included finding not only propofol but also lorazepam, midazolam, diazepam, lidocaine and ephedrine in Jackson's body. Propofol and lorazepam were the main drugs responsible for his death.

Before Murray was the sole target for manslaughter, at least five physicians were researched in the investigation, Los Angeles Times reports.
