Michael Jackson's Funeral Delayed, Movie Moved Up
The King of Pop, Michael Jackson, will not be laid to rest on his 51st birthday, according to RTTNews. Jackson was set to be buried on Aug. 29; however, the services have a five-day delay and the funeral will be on Sept. 3.
The service will be held at the Great Mausoleum at California's Glendale Forest-Lawn Memorial Park. Spokesman Ken Sunshine said that there was no apparent reason for the delay.
Though the burial has been delayed, the late singer's movie, "Michael Jackson: This Is It," has been moved up two days, from Oct.30 to Oct.28. The movie features Jackson's rehearsals of his planned comeback tour. Other features include 80 hours footage of the behind-the-scenes leading to his concert at London's O2 Arena. Kenny Ortega directed the movie, who is best known for "Dirty Dancing" and Disney's "High School Musical."
The film will be released in theaters for a limited two-week run.
