Michael Jackson's Memorial Still a Secret
Los Angeles police brace for a large gathering of fans expected to show up at Michael Jackson's memorial service. Once again, the LAPD are warning those who do not have tickets to stay away, said Fox News.
Details concerning Tuesday's public memorial still remain a secret.
Close to 1.6 million people entered a lottery in hopes of being selected as one of 17,500 people to gain admittance into Los Angeles's Staples Center, or to watch it broadcasted live at the Nokia Theatre.
Those who were randomly chosen were emailed on Sunday. The company sponsoring the memorial chose 8,750 names from the online lottery. Each winner will receive two tickets, reports ABC News.
A spokesperson for the Jackson family declined to comment on details of the event. Nor did he offer any information regarding the family's plan for a private funeral.
According to Reuters, Los Angeles Police did not comment on any details of a private ceremony for the family.
Jim McDonnell, Assistant Los Angeles Police Chief, said Jackson's memorial is expected to last about two hours.
For those who are not lucky enough to be attending the memorial, you can watch the live broadcast on U.S. television.
