Michael Jordan and Wife End Marriage
Former Bulls star Michael Jordan and his wife Juanita Jordan filed for divorce Friday, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the cause for the end of their nearly two-decade marriage.
"Michael and Juanita Jordan mutually and amicably decided to end their 17-year marriage," the Jordans said in a statement. "A judgment for dissolution of their marriage was entered today. There will be no further statements."
In court documents, the couple said efforts to save their marriage were unsuccessful and that further attempts "would be impractical and not in the best interests of the family."
This is the second time they have called off their marriage, after Juanita Jordan filed for divorce from the five-time MVP in 2002 but retracted it a month later.
The two met in 1989 and have three teenage children together.
