Michael Phelps to Appear on "Entourage"

Michael Phelps will make a cameo on HBO's hit show, Entourage, this season, which will be his second acting appearance (the first, as we reported yesterday, will be on the Sept. 13 season premiere of Saturday Night Live).

The swimmer, who won eight gold medals at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, will play himself on Entourage. The show debuts on Sept. 7, just one day before Phelps appears on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

And the premiere of Entourage will be the same night that Phelps presents an award at MTV's Video Music Awards.

And all of these appearances is on top of the busy workload that Phelps has with sponsors, who, some estimate (the Wall Street Journal being the strongest voice) could make him over $40 million this year.

But, as is the case nowadays in America, one needs to strike while the iron is hot, as the saying goes.
