Actor Michael Richards’ rage has gotten him in some more hot water. TMZ reports
the 61-year-old Seinfeld star is being sued by a photographer for allegedly beating him on a Los Angeles street on August 25. Brendon O’Neil filed the lawsuit on Friday at the Los Angeles Superior Court. He claims that Richards came at him in a “menacing manner ... with closed fists” and punched him in the face. According to the paperwork, the strikes caused him to fall to the ground where the actor “proceeded to kick [O'Neal] numerous times, directing the blows to [O'Neal's] arms, hands, and camera.”
There is no word on what prompted the alleged attack. Richards has yet to comment. O’Neil is seeking money for damages and medical expenses from the “great mental, physical, and nervous pain and suffering.”
Richards is most known for his role as Cosmo Kramer on Seinfeld. He made headlines in 2006 when he went on a racial rant after being heckled by an audience member during his set at Los Angeles’ Laugh Factory.
