Michelle Rodriguez gets released from her jail sentence due to overcrowded jails.

Michelle Rodriguez, former Lost star, violated her probation in a DUI case and served 18 days out of her 180-day jail sentence before being released Wednesday from Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, Calif.

According to E!, the judge ordered Rodriguez to serve her full sentence with no other options. She was set free on the grounds of overcrowded conditions at the jail.

Rodriguez was sentenced in October once she admitted to not having completed her court-ordered community service and drinking alcohol on several occasions. The star's police file has been steadily stacking up over the past few years.

In 2004, Rodriguez was sentenced to three years probation after she pleaded no contest to driving with a suspended license, hit and run and a misdemeanor DUI charge. While filming Lost in December 2005 she served four days in a Hawaii jail for another DUI arrest.

In May 2006, Rodriguez violated her probation and was sentenced to 60 days in jail. She was released after a few hours because of the reportedly overcrowded jail cells.
