Michelle Rodriguez Violates Probation
The Los Angeles City Attorney's Office has been busy this week, citing another star with violating probation. Actress Michelle Rodriguez has been accused of violating not only her probation terms, but lying about completing her community service hours. The document filed against her claims that Rodriguez submitted papers that stated she had worked a full day at on September 25th, 2006. However, Rodriguez has since admitted that she was in New York City that day. She has also apparently violated the terms of her alcohol monitoring program.
The motion states: "If Ms. Rodriguez fails to accept responsibility for her actions and fails to admit that she is in violation of her probations, then the People move this court to ... impose sentences ... to the maximum extent allowable." The motion goes on to say that if Rodriguez admits violating her probation, the prosecutors are asking for unspecified jail time. Rodriguez has been charged with at least eight counts since 2004, including driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license, and a hit and run. A hearing was scheduled for Friday.
