Mickey and Minnie Mouse New Fashion Makeover

Both Mickey and Minnie Mouse have been given an international fashion makeover.

The Associated Press reports that Mickey and Minnie debuted Chinese New Year outfits, designed by designer Vivienne Tam, in efforts to attract Chinese tourists to Disneyland in Hong Kong and better reflect local culture. Mickey sported a "Mao red suit" and Minnie Mouse is costumed in a "cherry-blossom red dress."

Hong Kong Disneyland opened in 2005.
