Mike Judge to Direct New Film with Jason Bateman

Creator of "Beavis and Butthead" will direct "Extract" from his own script.

Jason Bateman, from the brilliant but prematurely cancelled television sitcom, Arrested Development, plans to team with Mike Judge for the new Miramax comedy film called Extract.

Mike Judge is the creator of the legendary cartoons Beavis and Butthead and King of the Hill. He has also directed live-action films including the contemporary cult classics Office Space and Idiocracy. Judge will direct Extract from his own script.

According to EW.com, the film is about a flower extract plant owner (Bateman) who encounters a wave of bad luck, including his wife's affair with a gigolo. This film will be the first project produced under Judge's new production company called Ternion Prods, which he created with writer-producers John Altschuler and Dave Kirinsky.
