Mike "The Situation" to Star on Upcoming Season of 'Dancing With The Stars'

This will be Mike's first show besides 'Jersey Shore'

Now there's an odd pairing.

Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino will bring his fist pumping to the upcoming season 11 of Dancing With The Stars in hopes of improving his dancing skills. Sources told E! late Monday that it was indeed a "done deal" that he would be appearing on the show.

He'll join a cast that could include former pro football star Troy Aikman, as well as Audrina Patridge. The full crew won't be announced until next Monday after Bachelor Pad.

This news comes amidst reports that have also recently hit saying the Jersey Shore star makes $60,000 per episode and will make upwards of $5 million this year. This must be surreal for the new reality star, since it was only last October when he was filing for unemployment checks.

Leslie Bruce of the Hollywood Reporter provided a rundown of how Mike actually made this much money. "He's pretty business-minded, and has been savvy about this from the beginning." Sorrentino has gotten a book deal with a six-figure advance, an endorsement for a vodka brand and he charges a hefty fee for appearances.
