Mike Tyson's Daughter Dies

After being placed in critical condition yesterday, Exodus was pronounced dead today.

News spread on Monday that Mike Tyson's young daughter had been in a terrible accident, and Tuesday, Exodus died at St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix.

The 4-year-old girl was playing near her family's exercise equipment on Monday, according to Times Online. Her neck became tangled in a cord, and police say her 7-year-old brother found her caught in the "loop" hanging from a treadmill. The piece acted like a noose, and Exodous could not escape.

Her brother immediately ran to get his mother, who had been cleaning the house. Her mother removed the cord from Exodous's neck and attempted to revive the child before rushing her to the hospital in Phoenix.

Tyson was in Las Vegas at the time of the accident but flew to the hospital upon hearing the news. TV crews photographed the heavyweight champion going into the hospital.

The Tyson family released this statement to the press: "There are no words to describe the tragic loss of our beloved Exodus. We ask you now to please respect our need at this very difficult time for privacy to grieve and try to help each other heal."
