Miley Cyrus to Appear on "Idol"

According to Hollyscoop.com, Miley Cyrus will be making an appearance on American Idol for the "Idol Gives Back" special. Cyrus will be performing for the live telecast which airs tonight on Fox.

When asked how teens can lend a helping hand, Cyrus commented, "I think that whether it's a penny, a dollar, if it's anything, it's a penny more than they had before and not only does money help but . . . there are so many kids out there that are just walking around alone, and they would really just like someone there, so whether it's your time (or money), no matter what you give, it will be greatly appreciated."

In an exclusive with Hollyscoop, Miley also addressed the issue of poverty in America, including her hometown of Kentucky. The teen singer is a witness to the epidemic that plagues every country, and encourages those who want to make a difference to look in their own backyard.

As for Miley, she'll be off to Nashville at the end of the week to begin filming the Hannah Montana movie.
