Miley Cyrus has first on-screen love scene in 'LOL: Laughing Out Loud'

Miley Cyrus will be starring in an upcoming movie, LOL: Laughing Out Loud, as a rebellious teenager. In the film, Cyrus' character Lola loses her virginity, marking the 19-year-old's first on-screen love scene.

Cyrus has been trying to put her Disney past behind her and show that she is an adult, though she is still playing a teenager.

"I had been wanting to get out of what people think as the obvious choice for me to do next. It was so freeing to not be, like 'Alright, I'm happy!" and getting to be real and working with life's real emotions. People are so used to me playing the happy girl," The Huffington Post quotes Cyrus.

The film follows a 15-year-old girl who gets herself involved with teenage antics, conflicting with her mom about grades, boys, and drugs.

Reports say a clip from the film shows Cyrus in bed with her male co-star. She also will be seen kissing another male and a female in the clip.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, this remake of a 2008 French comedy of the same name also stars Demi Moore, who will be playing Cyrus' mother and Marlo Thomas who will play her grandmother.

Cyrus is known for her role in Disney's Hannah Montana and has also starred in a big screen movie, The Last Song.

A U.S. release date for the LOL: Laughing Out Loud has yet to be set.
