Miley Cyrus: "I Can't Be Hannah Montana Forever"

In a recent interview with Billboard, the star of "Hannah Montana" talks about her future with the show.

Miley Cyrus tells Billboard that the new "Hannah Montana" movie is not the end of the show or her quirky alter ego, MTV reports.

In fact, Cyrus still has eight more episodes to film for season three. "This movie was never meant to be the end of Hannah Montana," Cyrus said in an interview. "The thing is, a lot of people put where the show's future lays in my hands—and it's not up to me."

The ultimate decision is with Disney and Cyrus says she hopes they want more episodes.

Billboard writes that a representative from the Disney Channel said "it's retaining the option to renew the show for a fourth season."

The 16-year-old star expresses that she is not ready to give up her character yet, but also realizes she "can't be Hannah Montana forever." "I can't do this when I'm 30," she said. "It's just an honor for people to be able to relate to me and my music and not so much the character anymore," Cyrus added.

Hannah Montana: The Movie opens April 10.
