Miley Cyrus has signed on to lend her voice in Sony Picture Animation’s Hotel Transylvania.
Entertainment Weekly reports the former Hannah Montana star will play Mavis, the teenage daughter of Dracula, voiced by Adam Sandler.
The premise of the movie revolves around Dracula running a monsters-only resort, in an attempt to keep Mavis away from the real world. However, his goal ultimately fails when Mavis allows a human, voiced by Andy Samberg, into the hotel.
Cyrus joins a star-studded cast lending their voices to the animated flick including Kevin James, Fran Drescher, David Spade, and Steve Buscemi. The film, which is being directed by Genndy Tartakovsky, will arrive in theaters Sept. 21, 2012.
This is not the first time Cyrus has provided a voice for an animated movie. She had previously voiced a character in the 2008 Walt Disney film, Bolt, which received critical acclaim.
On Wednesday, Sandler appeared on Jimmy Kimmel’s talk show to share his excitement over Hotel Transylvania and it being one of the first films his children will be able to watch that he stars in, since most of his other comedies aren’t age appropriate.
