Miley Cyrus splurges on new $127k Mercedes convertible

Miley Cyrus can go from 0 to 60 in 5.8 seconds, thanks to her brand new white 2012 SL550 Mercedes convertible.

TMZ shared photos of the 19-year-old with her new car still at the dealer. A source close to Cyrus also said the star paid for her ride up front and in cash.

The Hannah Montana star stopped by the Mercedes dealership in Encino, California last week because she was sick of driving her mom's old ride: a Porsche.

When she received her first car at 16, the Daily Mail recalls Cyrus commenting that she "took my mom's old car. I didn't get the one I wanted, but I got the old car which wasn't so bad because it was a Porsche. I suppose it was a pretty good hand me down."

Cyrus chose to keep her hand-me-down Porsche, having a body guard drive it home instead of trading it in.

We can't imagine Cyrus is going to be joyriding right now though, after tweeting Wednesday that she had injured her tailbone:

Hopefully boyfriend Liam Hemsworth will be on hand with lots of ice and cuddles to help her recover.

Cyrus was also spotted out and about on Monday in a cropped flannel top and acid-wash "mom jeans." INFDaily was less than disappointed saying her outfit "can only be described as a first degree fashion disaster. Atrocious, faded acid-washed mom jeans and a red plaid collared tank top. Inexcusable."

While The Huffington Post admits, "dare we say... we don't hate them?"

After wowing fashion fans at the People's Choice Awards, we were hoping Cyrus' closet was growing up, not going camping with Kelly Kapowski and Jessie Spano. Maybe her new Benz will help improve her fashion cred.
