Miley Cyrus Stalker Arrested Again
Police arrested Miley Cyrus' 53-year-old stalker at his Appling, GA home Tuesday night after he allegedly looked for the star on Tybee Island, where she was filming her new movie.
Police said McLeod violated orders to stay away from Cyrus. Disney security guards spotted and talked to the alleged stalker over the weekend when he apparently inquired about the 16-year-old's whereabouts near the set.
Police arrested McLeod on June 22, after he allegedly breached a security perimeter around the set of the movie. According to police, he insisted he was engaged to Cyrus and had received her father, Billy Ray Cyrus' blessing. He was charged with disorderly conduct and obstruction and was released because of jail overcrowding.
The New York Daily News reports that McLeod saw the young star in concert last year and told police in June that they became secretly engaged when "our eyes met at the concert and we both knew." McLeod even promised to invite the officer who arrested him, Warren Millikan, to the wedding. McLeod claimed that he sent Cyrus letters and received "secret messages" from her via her television show and her web site, which is a sign of schizophrenia.
According to the Associated Press, McLeod is in jail and has no attorney listed.
