Miley Cyrus in Trouble Again
Maybe Miley Cyrus should start shying away from having her picture taken? The Hannah Montana star has gotten herself involved in yet another photo scandal with a picture posted online.
First there were the bra pictures, then the Annie Liebowitz photo shoot, and now the Asian picture, dubbed "Hanoi Montana" by TMZ.com. The picture shows Cyrus and a few friends pulling back their eyelids to give themselves slanted eyes.
OCA, an organization "dedicated to advancing the social, political and economic well-being of Asian Pacific Americans," sent a statement to TMZ about the photo, saying, "The photograph of Miley Cyrus and other individuals . . . is offensive to the Asian Pacific American community and sets a terrible example for her young fans."
Karen Narasaki, President and Executive Director of the Asian American Justice Center, told Celebuzz, "It's hard to imagine the context where this would be okay. It's offensive and disappointing."
Neither Cyrus nor her reps have commented on this matter.
