Miley Cyrus headed back to Haiti for the second time this year.
According to E! Online, the singer and former Hannah Montana star met with Haitian President Michel Martelly, children, and lent a helping hand to more than 400 Haitians with the Starkey Hearing Foundation. She helped distribute and fit hearing aides to those who needed them. She also led a sing-a-long with a group of children, they sang Cyrus’ hit “Party in the USA.”
"I hope I can come back soon,” she said. “Now I just feel like I know Haiti a little bit better.”
According to Just Jared, Cyrus won an auction at the So The World May Hear Awards Gala in July, which had her returning Haiti.
“After I went on my first mission to Haiti with the Starkey Hearing Foundation, I felt so drawn to helping others hear for the first time and immediately wanted to look for another chance to go back and help again,” she said of the trip. ”This second mission to Haiti was just as impactful to me as the first one. I grew up around music and couldn’t imagine what it would be like for my siblings and me, if we couldn’t hear the magic of music. It’s had such an influence on my life, that I just want everyone to enjoy sound as it was intended.”
