Miley Cyrus's Busy Weekend sans the Red Carpet

After the embarrassing Vanity Fair scandal, Miley Cyrus has decided to keep off the red carpet at this weekend's 2008 Disney Channel Games in Florida. But People and eFluxMedia have reported that she did other things such as signing autographs, enjoying Disney World rides, and chatting up Senator John Edwards?

People wrote that on Thursday, Cyrus met the former presidential candidate while waiting in line for the Test Track ride in Magic Mountain at the Disney World Resort. A close source told the magazine that Edwards's two youngest children were a huge fan of Cyrus's show, Hannah Montana, and that "[s]he chatted with them about all the rides and attractions they saw at Walt Disney World."

The Associated Press reported that while Cyrus was invited to events and parties hosted by Disney, her management team has advised her not to attend. However, the provocative Vanity Fair shoot seemed to have no effect on Disney's attitude towards her and her career. According to eFluxMedia, she is rehearsing for her May 3 performance for the Disney Channel Games, along with other Disney artists, such as the Jonas Brothers and the Cheetah Girls.

E! told its viewers that Miley Cyrus will begin filming a Hannah Montana feature movie in Nashville next week. She is also scheduled on May 10 to perform in Orange County for KIIS-FM's annual Wango Tango concert.
