Teen singer and actress Cyrus has more projects in store

Friday marks the debut of Miley Cyrus' 3-D concert movie, "Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert," says the "Los Angeles Times." The film was shot during her 69-city winter tour, and it screens nationally for only one week, prompting fast ticket sales.

If you miss the concert film, which includes rehearsal footage, you (or your kids, younger siblings, etc.) can still see Cyrus on the Disney Channel in her sitcom "Hannah Montana," or hear her sing on two albums, the latest, "Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus," having sold 2.5 million copies.

If that doesn't satisfy the tween in your life, then start looking ahead to the "Hannah Montana" feature movie, due to start production in late spring or early summer. Though Cyrus has not yet read the script, she knows the story will draw on her experiences of being homesick while following a busy schedule to continue entertaining fans. The 15-year-old performer has also written some new songs with her sister Brandi, five years her senior, for another album. The "Hannah Montana" star says, "We wrote some really, like kind of listen-to-it-and-cry songs, and then, at the end, smile songs, and some jump-on-your-bed-and-scream songs."
