Orlando Bloom and Victoria’s Secret model Miranda Kerr celebrated their son, Flynn Christopher Bloom’s, first birthday on Jan. 6 with a family-friendly and environmentally-friendly party.
Miranda Kerr, 28, revealed at her debut as the Qantas airways ambassador, that she provided all the meals at Flynn’s party, while she and Bloom hired a balloon man as the entertainment for their son and “five little friends … about the same age.”
“There were a lot of balloons,” Kerr told People. “We had a balloon man come because [Flynn] likes balloons. That was a lot of fun.”
Kerr says the best part of Flynn’s birthday was when she gave him his first birthday cake.
“It was the first cake he had ever seen or tasted. It was a gluten-free cake and organic, of course,” she said. “He put his face in the cake. It was a healthy kick-start to his first birthday.”
While Flynn has hit an age milestone, Kerr is looking forward to watching him grow even more. She reveals he’s “doing something different" every day and is “almost walking.”
Kerr says watching her son grow up isn’t the only thing she loves about motherhood, she also loves watching her husband, Orlando Bloom, be a father.
“He has really stepped up to the role and is very hands-on,” she says. “It makes me proud that he is such a good dad.”
