Mischa Barton Brought to Court
NBC reports that Mischa Barton is planning to accept a plea deal in her December 2007 DUI case when she's brought before court in Beverly Hills this Thursday, confirmed by People magazine.
It's expected she'll serve three months of unsupervised probation likely to include an alcohol abuse education class. The charge of marijuana possession is expected to be dropped. The accusation of driving without a license may be lowered to an infraction. The judge might, in addition, order her to pay a fine of approximately $1,700, People reports.
An LA District Attorney spokesperson would not comment when contacted by People.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, Barton was arrested for and charged with four illicit counts in December 2007. This involved driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, driving with a blood alcohol level of 0.08% or higher, being an unlicensed driver and possession of marijuana.
