The actress is dealing with the medical issue that placed her under psychiatric hold.

After being placed under psychiatric hold last Wednesday, actress Mischa Barton appears to be recovering from her health issue, PEOPLE magazine reports.

According to Barton's rep, the former "O.C." star is "still seeking treatment" but is "making improvements." Barton, 23, plans to continue working on the new CW drama "The Beautiful Life," scheduled to begin production July 31, her rep told PEOPLE.

Specific details regarding her medical condition have not been disclosed, but Barton's friends have reportedly said that she is "dealing with personal issues" and has been on "a destructive path" for quite some time.

According to PEOPLE, a source has confirmed that Barton has left Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where she had been under a psychiatric hold since last week.
