Mischa Barton Under Psychiatric Hold

Mischa Barton, 23, called police to her Los Angeles home with a health problem on Wednesday.

Currently the actress is at Cedars Sinai Medical Center where she is under a psychiatric hold, also known as 5150.

A friend told People that she has been dealing with a lot of personal issues.

"I don't know if she really ever gave up some of the bad habits that had gotten out of control a couple years back," said the pal. The source did not go into the specific problems that Barton has been struggling with.

A rep for Barton told Access Hollywood that she will not be attending the premiere of her movie "Homecoming" Thursday in New York City. The movie's director, Morgan J. Freeman, said that everyone is saddened that Barton will not be at the opening.

"Her performance in 'Homecoming' is fantastic, and she will be missed at our premiere," said Freeman.
