Mission: Impossible IV In The Works
Another "Mission Impossible" is in the making. Tom Cruise and J.J. Abrams signed on to co-produce the movie's fourth installment. Abrams has worked with Cruise in the past when he directed the 2006 "Mission: Impossible III." The movie is expected to be in theatres by 2011.
Katie Martin Kelley, studio spokeswoman, said Abrams and Cruise have only signed on as producers. It is still undecided whether Cruise will be starring in the film or if Abrams will be directing it.
Abrams recently finished directing the hit film "Star Trek" and the anticipation for him to direct the "Mission: Impossible IV" is building. A Paramount representative has confirmed the movie is still in the discussion stage and Abrams has also stated it's in the works.
Abrams told Access Hollywood, "Tom and I have come up with a really cool idea we are pursuing. I am incredibly honored that Tom has invited me back as a producer."
