Movies are fun. Board games are fun. Clue was an amusing movie and a fun board game. Why don't you see these two combining more often? Well, in case you were just sitting and anticipating a movie based on the Monopoly board game, you won't have to wait much longer.

Universal Pictures and Hasbro have made a deal that could see many Hasbro games and toys, like Monopoly, being adapted into feature films. This comes after the great success of the Hasbro toy turned movie, Transformers. Transformers is already on its way to becoming a franchise in film, with a sequel set to begin shooting soon.

According to efluxmedia.com, other possible toys for adaptation into film may include Candy Land, Ouija, Battleship, and Stretch Armstrong, among others.

Ridley Scott has already been attached to direct Monopoly. It is rumored that Scott may pair up with Russell Crowe for the movie. The two have worked together on Gladiator, American Gangster, and are currently working on Nottingham.

Monopoly will be a comedy thriller, according to reports. What may come after that, we can only wait to see.
