More from Capt. Jack Sparrow a possibility

Johnny Depp says he is open to appearing in more "Pirates" sequels

The second installment of "Pirates of the Caribbean" is opening July 7, with the third film coming out next year. But Johnny Depp tells Newsweek that he hasn't had enough of Jack Sparrow just yet, saying, "He's a blast to play."

"I'll be in a deep, dark depression saying goodbye to him," Depp said. "I'll keep the costume and just prance around the house, entertain the kids."

For the moment, Depp won't say that the third film will be the end for him.

"Maybe 'Pirates 4, 5 and 6'. If they had a good script, why not? I mean, at a certain point, the madness must stop, but for the moment, I can't say that he's done."

Regarding the grueling shooting process of the "Pirates" films, Depp added, "It's great fun, but it was a bastard to shoot."

The first "Pirates" movie grossed over $653 million worldwide and earned Depp an Oscar nomination.
