Morgan Freeman Sued Over Car Crash

Actor Morgan Freeman is being sued by a passenger that was in his car during a crash last year.

Actor Morgan Freeman was giving a woman a ride home from a party last August when he crashed the car, causing it to flip. Demaris Meyer, 48, suffered some broken bones and had a head injury while the actor broke his arm and elbow.

Now Meyer has come forward to say two things: first, she says she is not Freeman's mistress, and secondly she is suing Freeman.

Claiming that her head injury resulted in some short term memory loss and left her unable to return to work due to suffering both "physically and emotionally" according to BBC News. She is suing for an unnamed figure, but included are medical expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering, permanent disability, and property damage as it was her car, a Nissan Maxima, that Freeman crashed.

Meyer's legal case in Mississippi claims Freeman was drinking and not paying attention when the crash occurred. Meyer added that she was not the reason for the break-up of Freeman's marriage and was never romantically involved with the Oscar-winning actor.

Freeman has not yet released a statement.
